Weather Alert: Tropical Storm Mitag

Tropical Storm Mitag has caused delays of about 3-6 days for large vessels around Shanghai and Ningbo.

Supply Chain activities could be impacted this week and next in areas of Eastern China and South Korea due to the heavy rainfall and wind of Tropical Storm Mitag.

Tropical Storm Mitag is projected to sweep by Eastern China and into South Korea late Wednesday, October 2 and early Thursday, October 3.

High wind gusts up to 97 MPH were measured by the Japan Meteorological Society on Monday, September 30. Between 9 and 14 inches of rain fell on Monday in Datong Township, Taiwan, according to the Central Weather Bureau. 

Please also note that following the storm, congestion at shipping ports could produce further shipment delays.
