IMPORTANT: Winter Weather In The United States Could Cause Shipping Delays

Shipping freight on truck on highway in winter weather

Over the past 24 hours, many parts of the Midwestern United States have experienced up to 12 inches of snow accumulation. As a result, critical shipping lanes throughout the United States could experience significant delays.

Increased traffic due to road conditions and cautious drivers could mean delayed arrival times for shipments. This winter weather could create a bottleneck effect on the movement of domestic goods between ports, manufacturers, distribution centers and retailers.

Due to the winter weather in the Midwestern United States, here are an initial list of cities that are currently seeing reduced capacity and delays:

Illinois Indiana Iowa Michigan Minnesota Missouri Wisconsin
Bloomington Fort Wayne Davenport Detroit Mankato Columbia Milwaukee
Chicago South Bend   Flint   Kansas City Racine
Effingham     Grand Rapids
Elgin     Marshall
Joliet
Rockford
